Suetonius (c. 69 A.D - c. 140 A.D)He was the son of an equestrian who was a tribune in the thirteenth legion that fought at Bedriacum in 69 AD. He practiced in the law-courts at Rome. He was a friend of Pliny the Younger, who successfully petitioned the emperor Trajan for the grant to the childless Suetonius of the priveleges granted to parents of three children (ius trium liberorum). Shortly, he became the secretary at the imperial court. He was later dismissed by Hadrian allegedly for some indiscretion involving Hadrian's wife.
